Wooden Toys

BirthMark is now carrying handmade wooden toys!

With so many parents and grandparents expressing their concerns about toxic toys, we've set out to find safe, locally made alternatives. We have a great selection of cars of all sizes, trains, tractors, and pull-toys. For the wee ones, we offer teethers and rattles, all unfinished.

Our principal toy maker is Jacob Zimmerman, who lives outside of Lancaster. Jacob tells us that after 30 years of farming, he now prefers woodworking in his shop. His toys are safe for little ones: mostly unfinished, finished with vegetable oil, or salad bowl finish.Come and check them out!

As part of our effort to be earth-friendly, it is our goal to sell locally made products. If you know of a person who makes wooden or other small-child oriented toys, please let us know!

Clothing and Accessories

BirthMark supports the work of local artists and crafters. We are pleased to offer locally made works of art, toys, dresses, slippers, hats, and lovey blankets. If you create or can recommend locally made products, please let us know!

Our Wooly Baby slippers will keep your little one's toes warm during this winter season. BirthMark stocks Wooly Baby slippers size Newborn to 3 years but can special order any size for older children.

Original Art Work

At BirthMark, we strive to support local artists. Photographers, muralists, paper, and other artists display their work on our walls. These artists are also able to work with you to create a unique work of art for your family and home.
