The BirthMark Story
BirthMark was founded by Jackie and Pat Kelleher, parents of four wonderful children. They are by turns, easy-going, fun, mind-boggling, complicated, happy, sad --you name it, we've seen it. The inception of BirthMark took place all the way back in the early 1990's far from home, in Okinawa, Japan. |

| When our older children were born-- three in under two years!--we lived far from our extended families and quickly learned the importance of establishing a community in which to nurture our family. |
Jackie went on to become a childbirth educator and then a doula, and every interaction with these growing families underscored the lesson she had learned with her own children--parents need help! Our jobs are too important to approach without friends and mentors to count on for support and guidance.
Now, decades after becoming parents and after supporting countless families and two years after adding James, our little "caboose", we've built our dream. Put simply, it's a place for families to go. Somewhere more constructive and supportive than the mall or a restaurant. The place we wished for all those years ago. We can't wait to see you there!
