BirthMark was founded by Jackie and Pat Kelleher, parents of three wonderful teenagers. The inception of BirthMark took place all the way back in the early 1990's far from home, in Okinawa, Japan.

When our children were born--three in under two years!--we lived far from our extended families and quickly learned the importance of establishing a community in which to nurture our family. Jackie went on to become a childbirth educator and then a doula, and every interaction with these growing families underscored the lesson she had learned with her own children--parents need help! Our jobs are too important to approach without friends and mentors to count on for support and guidance.

Now, 16 years after becoming parents and after supporting countless families, we've built our dream. Put simply, it's a place for families to go. Somewhere more constructive and supportive than the mall or a restaurant. The place we wished for all those years ago. We can't wait to see you there!

We recently added our fourth child to our family. James was born at home on the 16th of July. He's wonderful healthy and growing like a weed. James will be working with his Mommy at the store. Stop by and visit him.
